Perth Azzurri NextGen
Developing the next generation.
The program
One banner for the next generation
Perth Azzurri NextGen is the club’s commitment to the young players coming through it.
For 78 years this club has been a place where young people learn the game, and learn a great deal besides. NextGen brings that under one banner: a clear pathway from a child’s first training session through to senior football, supported by quality coaching, consistent standards and real opportunity at every stage.
- 78 Years developing young players
- 3 Stages from MiniRoos to seniors
- 1 Club standard, every age group
The pathway
Every player who joins Perth Azzurri joins a pathway, not just a team.
It starts in our junior program and runs through youth football to our senior squads. At each stage players are coached properly, developed deliberately and given the chance to progress as far as their ability and effort will take them.
Not every player will reach the National Premier League. Every player will be better for having come through here.

Coaching is the foundation
Good players come from good coaching.
NextGen puts as much focus on developing our coaches as our players, with consistent standards applied from the youngest age groups through to the senior teams.
That consistency is what makes a pathway real rather than a diagram. A player moving up an age group should recognise how they are being coached.

More than football
Young footballers learn discipline, resilience, teamwork and how to handle setbacks.
Those qualities matter well beyond the pitch.
NextGen supports that directly, with development sessions covering leadership, nutrition, mental resilience, goal setting and preparing for life after junior sport. We want our players to leave this club as better footballers and better people.
